The Game Dev Group is a chilled, friendly place for anyone interested in game development to meet, learn and collaborate together. Our speakers for this event are **Duncan Treadgold and Harry Bentley.** Duncan is a Principal Software Engineer at Playtonic Games with 14 years of experience in the Game Dev. His experience includes studios like SEGA HARDlight, Radiant Worlds and Blitz Games Studios. Harry is currently a Technical Artist at Playtonic Games with half a decade of experience in games as a technical and VFX artist, having previously worked on Bass Invaders. Together, Duncan and Harry dive deep into the technical challenges faced during the development of Yooka-Replaylee, including improved graphics, revamped gameplay, 60 FPS using Unity engine and much more. An illustrated talk by Prof. Tadhg O'Keeffe on the history of the design and construction of Rathfarnham Castle Rathfarnham Castle is a remarkable building. A huge building by pre-Georgian standards, it is the earliest surviving great house in Ireland from the period around 1600 when the arrival of design ideas from Renaissance Europe began to transform the character of elite domestic architecture on the island. Hi All, this is a on lead walk with dogs of all ages and experience welcome. Many who attend are recently rescued and learning. Walk the lovely grounds and see the flowers and wildlife followed by coffee. There is a Fb page Sighthound Adventures Ireland and #dublinhoundwalks on Instagram. All Welcome.

Join the group for coffee, a chat and bring your project upstairs in Starbucks on Westmoreland Street from 12-2.30pm (or sometimes longer!). There is a lift for those with mobility issues but please check with staff if it's working. There's no charge for the meetup but we ask please that you join our Whatsapp group if you plan on staying with the group. Cost is only €5 a year to pay for Meetup subs etc.

We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!
