Dear C.M.,
when did you land on earth as far as year in the chronological scheme of things>>?

I've read Steven Weinberg, Dariwn and Pinker and some Dawkins.  The other names seem familiar but i'll look them up shortly.

As far as the above "nonsense," you'd be surprised about who is ultimately responsible for it.  Sir Thomas Huxley, none other than Sir Charles Darwin's bulldog.  This is history again from the 19th century.  That's why i wonder when you were born, to see how much you remember from first hand basis stories from people who actually lived in the 19th century.

Thomas Huxley's grandson was a prolific writer you may have heard of, Aldous Huxley.  We had to read both his most famous work "Brave New World," and also Orwell's "1984," in high school, and at the time, the authorities were unaware that it was Aldous Huxley himself, author of "Doors of Perception," who gave the Harvard psychologist Dr. Timothy Leary, his first shipment of LSD, which led to the hippy movement of the 1960s, and to the just sent "8 circuits of consciousness."  It all comes from Sir Huxley....
