Join us March 10th at 7:30pm for an evening of live visual performance from Stanford Art Department's Emerging Practices.

Five students will perform new work with a focus on digitally manipulated and generated media. Drawing on on historical practices of animation, audio-visual performance, and algorithmic art, their pieces focus on time-based media, data, and the status of the body. They will be joined by Bay Area artists Gabriel Dunne (http://gabrieldunne.com/), Cullen Miller (http://pointlinesurface.com/), and Mary Franck (http://www.maryfranck.net/) for a showcase in the Gray Area's Grand Theater.

Gabriel Dunne and Cullen Miller build on their past collaboration, Rites, for the debut of a new ritual of procedural graphics and ceremonial sound. Mary Franck will present a short piece of slowly blossoming algorithms.

Presenting students include: Ouree Lee, Alexandra Risberg, Kevin Zhai, Alison Rush and Ashley Ngu.

$5-$20 Sliding-Scale Tickets available at the door.
