So I think it can go without saying that the majority of readers are also writers (whether it's novels, poetry, or in a daily journal). So, I thought I'd plant this little seed...
Last year was my first year to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and not only did I win, but I had a blast doing it. It really boosted my confidence as a writer and I was able to meet a lot of people through the experience.
So Nano comes every November, which *gasp - how is it already October* is next month! The goal of Nano is to write 50,000 words of a novel in just the one month. It's possible, but it's hard! And it takes a lot of work and determination.
I wanted to see if anyone was interested in trucking-through with me this year to win Nano! I think we could get a pretty solid support group going through here, and if we get enough interest - perhaps we could have nano-buddies or something like that.
Anyway - before I move forward in my Nano plans, I have to know who's interested! So, what do you say? Are you in?

This is a group of twenty and thirty-somethings in the Dallas area that love to read! We read and discuss all types of books - fiction, nonfiction, new and old... Books are chosen by the group members every few months so there is always something interesting to look forward to! We meet the first Monday of every month at various hot spots around Dallas, usually a wine bar or coffee shop. Hope you can join us! **If you have any questions, please check out the Frequently Asked Questions section of our message board, or email Ashley**
