Who organized?
Everett Sizemore

Willow and her husband are going to show me how to make soap, and I can fit a few more into our kitchen if you'd like to join us to watch.

We will be making some simple soap with lard, lye, a bit of coconut oil and some lavender or lemon essential oil extract I got from our good friend Joy at a previous class.

I will supply the Lye, lard and oils and Willow's husband will bring his soap making equipment. All you have to bring is your desire to learn, a pen and some paper.

NOTE: This is at our NEW place in the Highlands area on Decatur St. near 38th and Federal. We sold our home in Englewood and are starting over. We can't keep chickens or bees here, but that doesn't mean we can't make some soap!

    •  This was so much fun! Arthur explained everything so clearly, and gave us so much information on the chemical processes, which helped me to understand the reasoning behind the procedures. I've been putting off learning to make soap for so long, and now I'm ready to try it. I can't wait for his next class.
    •  We had a great teacher! It took a little longer than we thought because the batch was so big, but everyone left knowing how to make soap. That's what we came for.
