Drupal Commerce Meetup

We're excited to announce the next Drupal Commerce Meetup, on Tuesday, June 28, 2013, between 6-8pm. This is a new meetup and we meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month at a variety of venues.
We're meeting this time at Droplabs (http://droplabs.net/), a Drupal-friendly classroom, coworking space and makerspace near Downtown Los Angeles. Those interested in attending this meetup remotely are welcome to join us via WebEx (http://groups.drupal.org/node/299523#join-online).
At this Drupal Commerce meetup, we'll be continuing with the Commerce Module Tuesday (http://commerceguys.com/tags/commerce-module-tuesday) videos that we introduced last time, and we'll demo and discuss the various modules covered by the series. We'll also cover recent news and events of interest that are happening in the Drupal Commerce world.

Our meetups follow a basic format and start off with Drupal news and announcements, local job announcements, raffle prizes and full-length presentations. As always, we'll also have community Q&A, during which time anyone in attendance can ask questions, divine answers from the crowd and give brief, 5-10 minute-long presentations known as lightning talks. We'll finish off the night with more networking and a Drupal After Dark (http://groups.drupal.org/node/299523#drupal-after-dark) at 8:00pm.

After the event is over, a group of us may go to a nearby restaurant or pub. In the past we've had beers and a bonfire and were serenaded by Skrillex (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skrillex), who was rehearsing next door for the Mothership tour.
We've also gone to a variety of other locations, including Barbara's at The Brewery (at 620 Moulton Ave., just a 5 minute walk away) and Carnitas Michoacan (on 1901 N. Broadway, just a 5 minute drive away).

We're one block west ofThe Brewery (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/The_brewery_art_colony), the largest live-and-work artists' colony in the world.
Free parking in our large parking lot is first-come, first-served. After parking in the lot, follow the yellow signs that point to Droplabs. (If our lot is full, you can park for free on Clover St.)

What is the Drupal Commerce Meetup about? We have presentations, case studies and roundtable discussions on all the things that make our Drupal-based ecommerce websites work, from payment handling, inventory management and shipping to adding social features that make our websites and applications fun to use. We cover all the systems that work with Drupal and have a primary focus on the open source Commerce (http://www.drupalcommerce.org/) framework.
This meetup is one of the Greater Los Angeles Drupal group's "traveling meetups" and occasionally travels from city to city and venue to venue. Would you like to host one of these in your area?
