Dear GTA R group members,

I'm pleased to announce the next GTA R user’s group meeting. Brandon E. Bertelsen will show us how to make beautiful graphics for data analysis with ggplot2. Unlike most other graphics packages in R, ggplot2 has a deep underlying grammar, based on the Grammar of Graphics (Wilkinson, 2005). This makes ggplot2 very powerful, because you are not limited to a set of pre-specified graphics, but you can create new graphics that are precisely tailored for your problem.

Revolution Analytics was kind to send us a box with cool R logo T-shirts, water bottles and stickers. We'll do a prize draw at the end of the session.

One more time thanks to my fellow co-organizer, Professor Murtaza Haider, for providing a fully equipped meeting room in the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University.

The capacity for the room is about 40, so we’ll have to prioritize in order of sign-up for the meeting. There is no charge for this meeting.

Please RSVP to this meeting.

This is a great opportunity not to be missed. Hope to see you there!

Regards,
Leo Guelman.
