Deer Island Loop – Friday Morning Hike

Here’s your chance to work off those extra calories from over-indulging on Thanksgiving. Join us for a 2 mile hike lead by Cheryl Berger as we explore the Deer Island Open Space Preserve in Novato. You can expect a peaceful, level loop hike with extensive views of the surrounding marsh habitat. We’ll head southeast along the Deer Island Loop Trail, make a quick detour up the Russel Antonio Trail, then continue our loop back to our starting point.

Place: Deer Island Open Space Preserve

Trailhead: 328 Deer Island Lane. Park near the trailhead sign.

Recommended Gear: Pants, Long Sleeve Shirt, Boots, and Water.
