Want to help build a greener Redmond?
The Green Redmond Partnership offers the opportunity to make real positive change by volunteering in your local parks. We work to make our public greenspaces healtheir and more sustainable by removing aggressive invasive plants and replanting with native northwest forest species. We also seek to build a community of stewardship around these public spaces to safeguard their future. We are a volunteer-driven program working with the City to enroll all 1,035 acres of Redmond's forested parks into restoration by 2028.
Parks and open spaces are vital to cities and, in the Puget Sound, we are fortunate to have a legacy of forested parklands. Redmond’s parks and greenbelts strengthen local neighborhoods and provide numerous valuable “green services”. The Green Redmond Partnership program works to protect this important legacy of beautiful parks and vibrant communities for our children and great-grandchildren through a public-private partnership between the city, the Cascade Land Conservancy, and the civic community.
Visit our website at www.greenredmond.org to learn more about us and how you can get involved, or contact me directly.
I hope to see you soon in the parks!
