Beach Cleanup, local food & nature walk

Hello dear sustainability heroes,
On the last Saturday of each month, you are invited on the beautiful island of Cheung Chau for a day of environmental action, discovery of local food culture, followed by a relaxing walk toward sunset.
The beach that I am bringing you to is called Coral beach (Tung Wan Tsai) and it needs some regular tender love and care.
It’s not a tourist beach: it’s remote, isolated and surrounded by wilderness therefore Municipal services don’t come down regularly to clean the trash brought there by the sea currents .
After two hours of cleaning (no more), we will head to the villages to have some food. I will have to book the restaurant, so make sure your RSVP status reflects your actual intent.
After lunch, we will go to the south of the island for a relaxed walk around the cemetery with the aim to catch the Sunset on another beach, the so-called Italian beach (Pak Tso Wan).
Meeting point:
Meeting on Cheung Chau, at the ferry pier at 9:30 in front of Mc Donald's.
If coming from Central, you can catch a 7:40 slow ferry (arrives at 8:30 on Cheung Chau) or 8:40 fast ferry (arrives at 9:15 on Cheung Chau) from Central ferry pier 5.
If you take the slow ferry to arrive at 8:30, you can either join me for breakfast, or explore other breakfast options or activities. The meeting point will still be 9:30 in front of the Mc Donald's next to the pier.
What to bring:

• water
• hat
• your smile
I will provide trash bags and gloves. The government will pick up the filled trash bags from the beach (above the shoreline) after we are done.
