City Hydroponics - launch party

We are happy to announce the release of City Hydroponics to the world!

As much as I love playing with soil and techniques as permaculture, in the city there just isn't space for that. What we have is balconies, if you're lucky a roof top, where soil based growing is very hard to accomplish. As an alternative I have been working on hydroponic growing, a sustainable technique that uses little water and nutrients to grow vegetables virtually anywhere.

After more than a year of hard work, the system is finally ready. Designed specifically for the challenges of urban living, this hydroponic growing system fits on any balcony - giving you a spark of green, a touch of nature in the urban jungle.

Tonight we'll present the final product to the world. Everyone is welcome starting 18:30 at MakerBay in Yau Tong for a drink, and to see the installations for real.

The official program will start at 19:30 with an introduction by our partners SparkRaise who will host our crowdfunding campaign and MakerBay for providing the maker space and tools, allowing this and many other inventions to come to life.

After that you will get to see the premier of the City Hydroponics promotional video, and an introduction to the principles behind hydroponic growing and the how and why of City Hydroponics.

There will of course be time for questions and open discussion, and the products are available for purchase through SparkRaise as well. The first launch is with limited numbers so don't hesitate or they will be gone!
