Media Manipulation

Does the media have too much influence over our lives?

The media loves to exaggerate, jump to conclusions, and play up the drama on everything.  And often times (if not always) this is harmful.  And it is ALWAYS with the BAD news.

What are the checks to Media's power?  To whom are they accountable?  If they ruin someone's reputation, what is the recompense?

How does traditional Media fare in the age of the internet ... is this a new media age?

How is American media different from other world media?  Such as the BBC, or Al Jazeera?  Do they all fall in the same trap or is it just us?

And just who IS "the Media"? Come and find out!

Hats off to our Group leaders for applying the philosophy,"I will find a way, or make one". Candlelight and sterno heaters worked well in this lively discussion!
