Wine Tour in the Eastern Townships

We will begin our tour at Domaine Lac Brome. Although this winery is not on the Groupon list I believe we should start with enjoying the beauty of the Eastern Townships and this outstanding winery has breathtaking vistas. It is perched above Lake Brome and is only an hour and a few minutes from Montreal. It costs nothing to enjoy the view and take pictures of the vines and rolling hills of the Townships. We will drive back towards Montreal to visit a family winery in Dunham, the Vignoble Centaure. For information http://www.vignoblecentaure.com We probably will not spend much time there, but it will be interesting to see a small family run operation.

Lunch break will hopefully be in the L’épicerie Café Dunham which has been recommended by one of the wineries in Dunham. Saturdays are busy and we are many but I am sure they will be able to accommodate us.

Our final destination will be Domaine des Côtes d’Ardoise http://www.cotesdardoise.com an outstanding winery. There are sculptures and artwork and lovely areas to walk and roam. It is a fine end to a marvelous day.

All we will need will be fair winds and gentle sun.
