Join park rangers on interpretation talks, hikes and living history programs and learn about the natural and cultural history of Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Enjoy the beautiful Chihuahuan Desert, high country coniferous forests, riparian habitat, largest federally-designated wilderness area in the state of Texas, and second largest gypsum dunes in the United States. Hike to the top of Guadalupe Peak, the highest point in Texas, as well as 7 of the highest 10 peaks in Texas. Enjoy family fun and fitness, learn about the unique geology, watch wildlife, enjoy living history, participate in Junior Ranger, Senior Ranger, Junior Paleontologist, Junior Wilderness Ranger, Boy Scout Ranger and Girl Scout Ranger programs.
