Join a National Park Ranger on this guided interpretive hike to the highest point in Texas. Meet at the Pine Springs Trailhead at 7:45 AM. Strenuous. 8.4 miles roundtrip, with 3,000 feet of elevation gain. Bring plenty of water (at least 1 gallon per person is recommended), food, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and sturdy hiking boots or shoes. Trekking poles are recommended. Hike may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Contact the Pine Springs Visitor Center at (915) 828-3251 x2124 for more information. Free.
