A Guerrilla Pow Wow is a bit of a slow motion flash mob meets pirate radio infusion. But what the hell does that mean?!?
I own a gizmo that broadcasts radio over a short enough distance to be legal but far enough to have a sizeable group enjoy. Since I'm only 99.9% sure the FCC is cool with this sort of thing, I'm not using my actual picture. Foundation for the...it wasn't me defense.
How this will go down:
I send out an invite with a location, a time, and a radio frequency. The invite will have the playlist. I will arrange for people to show up with boom boxes (aka portable radio with speakers) and people gather around the radios like little camp fires. Listen, chat, whatever...pow wow.
The playlist will vary. Local bands, performers swinging through the bay area, genres...see how things develop.
This group is for people who want to be turned on to different music, turn others on, and find people to trek out to live gigs.
