Interested in renewable energy? Join our discussion on the challenges and trends expected for renewable technologies in 2012. An expert panel will share their thoughts, opinions and predictions for renewables in the coming year.

List of Panelists:

Bill Staby, founder and CEO of Resolute Marine: the Boston-based company develops technologies for harvesting energy from ocean waves. Bill is an active member of multiple renewable energies boards, including the Ocean Renewable Energy Coalition.

Jennifer Cole, professor and director of the Environmental Studies Program at Northeastern University: Jennifer has currently and previously researched topics including, alternative energy, global carbon cycling, and more. She has over 30 published articles in the field of environmental science.

Holly Flesh, president of Innoventé USA: Holly leads the Canadian company’s entry into the US market. Innoventé specializes in producing electricity from organic waste and residues. Prior to Innoventé USA, Holly co-founded GreenFuel Technologies, one of the first algae-to-biofuels companies.

Possible discussion topics include:

Biofuels, geothermals, wind energy, hydropower, natural gases, solar energy, and green building.

Beginning with 30 minutes of networking and refreshments, the event is expected to last around an hour or as long as audience questions and input facilitate the discussion.
