Jim and Jeremy from SALT (http://salt.com/) will lay out in terms that everyone can understand, helping small businesses and developers understand the elements of merchant discount rates, transaction fees, cross-border fees, assessments and other costs associated with payment processing.

Jim is responsible for working with Mobile Operators, large enterprise merchants and channel partners. He has over 15 years of progressive experience in both mobile and payments. Jim has worked in management positions at leading telecommunications companies including Rogers Wireless, Bell Canada and Bell Mobility. He was also co-founder and Director of Voice Courier Mobile Inc. (VoCoMo), one of Canada's leading SMS aggregation companies, purchased by FMG Inc. Jim has a MSc (Telecommunications) from Syracuse University, as well as completing numerous advanced academic and communication industry executive development programs.

Jeremy is a financial acquiring expert with over 10 years of merchant services, compliance and solution procurement experience. He specializes in enterprise and Tier One client solution implementations. Jeremy is also responsible for all of SALT Technology's sponsor bank relationships, affiliate and partner channels and the SALT Merchant Services and Acquiring line of business as a whole. Jeremy resides and is based in Toronto.
