19:05 - Thomas Stone (https://twitter.com/tstonez) - Show HN: An Open Source Machine Learning Server Thomas is co-founder of PredictionIO (http://prediction.io), an open source machine learning server for software developers and data engineers. PredictionIO integrates state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and is built on top of scalable frameworks such as Spark, HBase and Elasticsearch. He will talk about how developers can add powerful predictive features to their web or mobile applications using PredictionIO.

Eddie is a Data Scientist doing some cool stuff at Lyst. Despite the name, the regular expressions we use every day are not actually regular in the theoretical sense. Every time they are treated as such, Noam Chomsky kills a kitten. In this presentation I'll tell you what an regular expression actually is and why this nomenclature mess is all down to Perl.

Nick is the founder of DataSift, a social data analysis platform. He has raised over $78mil and is in process of making the company one of UK's biggest successes in tech.
