LShift is a hi-tech software development company. It is small but, we like to think, close to perfectly formed. Our company is home to some of the best developers in the UK - not only in our opinion, but in the opinion of a number of international blue chip companies who use our development and research skills. LShift is looking for senior developers. The company is built around the idea of having a team of highly skilled developers who combine a breadth and depth of outlook and experience. We do not recruit people to slot into a particular technical role with a particular set of tools. Instead we recruit all-rounders, familiar with a broad range of technologies and environments who have a good appreciation of all aspects of software engineering.

    Hi all,

Something I wanted to let you know is that Pembridge is talking about the new next Thursday, 26th – sort of like g2i I did last year but more so (all types of growth, not just equity, and across all of England, not just London as g2i was).

If you company has 'high growth' potential and you want to hear more, sign up here: Hope that's OK – thanks!

If I had to pick something that didn't go well, it would be that 1- they could be more selective about the talks, one was just purely promoting a company that wasn't really doing something very innovative, but some of the others were absolutely excellent, especially considering how often these meetups are held and so how many such speakers would be needed. But overall it was great, plenty of time at the start to enjoy free pizza and drinks while interacting with other hackers, very friendly and interesting crowd.

Worth going just to scope the venue. Old school indeed.

However, HN-LDN brought everything from, including the Trolls. Sod those guys, I left.

Speakers seemed reasonably well selected and organisation competent. Free beer and pizza too, always a bonus.

Was a little lukewarm this time, especially because of alpha-geek behaviour in the audience.

Sharing practice, patterns and antipatterns is important. Developer experience patterns and "my first startup was a failure" were interesting and useful.
