Together with the OpenNebula project (http://opennebula.org/), we will be hosting an OpenNebula TechDay. You can read more at the OpenNebula techday page (http://opennebula.org/community/techdays/techday-boston-2015/).

This will be a full-day event to learn about OpenNebula, which is a powerful (but simple) system for building Clouds and managing Datacenter Virtualization. It's built upon the industry's best open-source virtualization & storage technologies (while also including support for VMware, Amazon AWS, IBM SoftLayer, etc).

Agenda

We'll start the day with a hands-on cloud installation and operation workshop. You'll leave with a fully-functional instance of OpenNebula on your laptop.

The second half of the day will feature Developer / User presentations. So far, we have the following talks scheduled:

• An Introduction to OpenNebula

• Bringing Private Cloud Computing to HPC and Science: a discussion of HPC-optimized clouds, the most-demanded features and real-life case studies.

• High-Availability HPC with OpenNebula: a presentation on one of Microway's internal GPU-Accelerated clusters which leverages OpenNebula's flexibility and ease-of-use.

• Hyperconvergence and OpenNebula: a presentation on the usage of commodity hardware to replace proprietary and expensive SAN-like storage solutions.

Our sponsors will be providing refreshments and a catered lunch.
