Angular JS & Busuu App - HTML5 CodeShow #11

Hello Londoner,

Are you ready to join me on Monday, March 17th for another outstanding HTML5 CodeShow!

It will start at 6.30pm and will take place at Skype (http://www.microsoft-careers.com/content/skype/life-at-skype/)’s offices. For some of you who’ve been there, you already know how nice it is!

To start, Todd B. Adams (http://www.linkedin.com/in/toddbadams)will make a presentation on The Evolutionofan Angular JS Developers.

« We will learn about the basics of factories, controllers, and directives. However as these objects become unwieldy a better development process is required. We will look at an example problem of paging through a table of items, construct first a controller, and then evolve to a directive and factory. Finally we will see how to apply TDD/BDD/DDD to developing scalable Angular JS applications using our example problem. »

We will have the pleasure then, to welcome our new partners Busuu (http://www.busuu.com/fr/jobs) who have a dream to revolutionnise the way people learn languages.

One of their developers, Filip Sobczak (http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=114982760) will talk about their adoption of Angular.

"Promises - proper way to approach asynchronous Javascript. I will introduce promises, and point how it can make our program flow easier. Then we'll look how AngularJS use promises. Next I'll talk about some performance issues that we should think about while developing web apps in AngularJS, with examples of challenges that we had in Busuu."
