HTML5 CodeShow #2

Hey Everyone,

Welcome to the html5 Codeshow #2! As before, we are inviting developers to demo projects and interact with an audience of fellow programmers. Join us in sharing our coding knowledge! Let's develop ideas together over pizza and beer!

So far we have planned an exciting demo on canvas drawing and 3D transforms, plus a hack or two from MusicHackDay attendees http://tinyurl.com/bv5l9l3 as well as an update on the Animate tool!  If you'd like to plug your computer in and present an ongoing html5/js project, get feedback from the rest of the group or find collaborators., please get in touch! Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Cheers!

    Hi Everyone,

Does anyone remember the name of the speaker who was a headmaster at a school and had recently just purchased lots of iPads for his students? I'm trying to track him down to get information about schools and tech..

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Alan

And in the interested of code showing, my demo is at

    http://thebeercrate.com/temp/ma...

    with the readable source at

    http://beercrate.com/temp/mande...

since the published version has been run through closure, which gives you second biggest speed-up (after algorithm optimization.)

If any other people wanna demo an html5/js based musical instrument/app, now is the time! Lets have an html5 band practice at the meetup, bring your instrument with!

No music apps, but I have a 5 minute fractal thing that might provide a nice visual backdrop.

    Hey All,
just read about this mozilla festival in London Nov.9-11, sounds quite interesting! http://mozillafestival.org/ Feel free to go to it and tell me all about it at the meetup:)

Yes, that's true, Mozilla Festival was great. Zeega was interesting project, but I liked the Popcorn Maker more: https://popcorn.webmak...

    • Marc

yes PopCorn JS and Maker are interesting as well. what's interesting is that both Zeega and Popcorn are open source and that the 2 teams work together so projects can be exported from one platform to another.
