One of AngularJS's greatest strengths is the ability to create custom tags, known in Angular as directives. Angular's directives let you extend the HTML vocabulary by neatly encapsulating functionality. Angular's support for creating custom directives is similar to creating Web components with the up and coming HTML5 specification.
In this talk you will see how to create custom directives. We will also discuss how you can test those directives with Angular's built-in testing infrastructure.

You've heard me ranting and raving about the MEAN (MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, NodeJS) all year. Now you can see it in action.
In this talk, I'll debut the new http://html5denver.com website. You'll see how to integrate authentication between this website and Meetup.com via OAuth. You'll learn about the Meetup.com API: how to cache the JSON locally in MongoDB, and how to display it in AngularJS.
This new website won't replace our Meetup.com homepage -- it'll augment it with slides, videos, and lots of additional material.
