BYOT (Bring Your Own Topic)

  • June 18, 2013 · 6:30 PM

BYOT night with great food and fellowship. Simply post your idea here as a comment, then be prepared to discuss your topic at the meeting. You don't have to have a solution or do a presentation; you just need to be able to represent your topic and answer questions with the group as we discuss it.  Let's use the meeting to dive into   all those unanswered questions / issues that you might not have been able to get answered before.   We will also use this time to idenify topics, speakers and events for the remainder of the year.

The crowd-funding campaign I spoke of is finally ready to be shared as of today.

For those who asked, you can share this around (please do!). The support I got from this meetup and from everyone in general is what makes this possible - "pure research is never wasted".

For those interested in the second talk, information can be found at http://domalgebra.com. There's some marketing material, and live demos of the system which allow you to code in page, until the release in July. Thanks for the comments!

I could show how I've used D3.js, RequireJS, Backbone.js, Marrionette Babysitter, Lodash, and others to build a responsive, customizable report. See http://bit.ly/17jxH6d for a preview.

Since this is a manageable size group, would be interested in a TYOM - Tell Your Own Methods - discussion. There are so many ways to create web/apps with HTML5, what do people use - grids (which?), SASS, JQMobile, mobile or desktop first, etc.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
