HTML5Rocks@SG Message Board › HTML5 meet-ups organization & goals
Following the past meet-ups, i want to take the chance to pause & reflect on the following points:
. Why are you interrested in the HTML5 meet-up ?
By looking at each one of your introduction with attention, i have came to realize that there is a lot of us willing to learn more & get started on HTML5, which requires a strong engagement through:
- in life meet-ups ,
- sharing of resources, tips, tricks , tools, idea & bugs around which we can wrap-up our mind in our learning journey
. How can we make it better ?
While working on the next sessions, what stroke me the most was that very few of you are willing to come on stage as a speaker.I would like therefore to strongly encourage you to use this group as your playground & to push more advanced front-end developers to share their knowledge ! Pick-up on the topics, change it if you want to discuss about a subject on which you are working right now , get creative and don't be afraid !
In the meantime, i am working to set-up local co-organizer & scheduled industries speakers which would be ready to support our HTML5 community.
Moreover in order to strengthen our community which should not only limit itself to meet-ups i have created a google+ community,https://plus.google.c..., where you can :
- discuss about the last trends on HTML5,
- share resources on the core features and tools: presentation, feeds from other communities & so on
Last but not the least, you will soon be able to register any bug related topics on a google group linked to the google+ account.
Our next met-up scheduled for the 1rst of March is therefore postpone for 2 weeks in order for me to be able to steer-up our HTML5 meet-ups startup in Singapore in the right direction based on the past weeks lessons.
Given time I hope that we will all have learned more on HTML5, feel like belonging to a real community around which we can strive & enjoy to build our projects .
Thank you for your understanding & support.
