-hacker in progress
-I'm an avid world language (I speak 4) and culture hacker.
-I believe that what makes you smart is not only being logical, but also being open-minded, stop having a preconceived idea of how things are if you've only experienced them in a certain narrow geographic area, or not at all, being culturally enriched, an intellectual, and having good humor. Unfortunately, in the USA there are a lot of 'logically' talented people, such as computer nerds, who believe that they are already smart enough and don't need to know about cultures and the world. It's hard to explain to them what they are missing out on, because they expect you to give them an answer using logical framework, when certain things just can't be explained by logic (arts, culture, music). How do you convince a computer nerds that the color blue exists if he has never seen it? Good luck...
Train an evil puppy to do it.
Starting Dev Bootcamp NYC on-site in february. Currently in Phase 0. Most hackers I meet in the US are smart but incredibly unaware of the world and shockingly uncultured. Other than that, they seem to have to got it all. Let's change that!
