This group sprang out of a conversation on the Hack and Tell mailing list. Let's get lunch and geek out together! Meet up at coffee shops to hack! Announce impromptu events whenever we'll be hanging out at the Tea Lounge to code or wake up early enough for breakfast with other hackers! Pair over pastries! Learn Lisp over lunch! &c &c &c.

Any member can schedule Hack & Snack events. Yes, that means you! If you want company for lunch or brunch or drinks or whatevs, please feel free to schedule it as an event here! That's pretty much the point of this group, so you really are encouraged to schedule Hack & Snack meetups on your own whenever the urge strikes. Hope to see you soon!

No recruiters. I mean, if you're a recruiter who likes coding and wants to hang out with other programmers, cool, welcome! But if you show up and act like you're just here to headhunt, you will be removed from the group. (You can be totally new to hacking, though, so long as that's what you're interested in!)

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
