Interaction Design for Javascript [ZURB]

Love Javascript and want to learn more about interaction design? ZURB, the company who has helped Netflix, Salesforce, Facebook and others, will be giving a talk about how to excel at interaction design for those engineers who love Javascript. In addition, we will be having a hackathon part where you can meet other javascript engineers and get expert advice on how to excel in interaction design with javascript.

Part One - The Talk.

In this talk, Matt Kelly from ZURB is going to present an "interaction design crash course for engineers who love JavaScript."

Some of the key points Matt will cover include:

   •    Strategy

   •    Tactics

   •    Implementation

   •    Speed

   •    Wow Moments

Part Two - The hacking part. BRING YOUR LAPTOPS!

  • Break into pairs, or teams.
  • Identify a workflow that you want to improve on an existing project or application
  • Thinking about the workflow from the perspective of the person doing it, sketch a better version of that workflow.
  • Present your sketches to the other team and get feedback.
  • Do one more round of sketches based on the feedback.
  • Have a couple of the individuals present their old and new workflows to the group.

** Food and drinks will be provided! Hope to see you there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
