Metal Mickey, R2D2
Pick and place, using EAPs instead of motors.
I haven't done anything yet. I am interested in using OpenCV for object recognition and making a robot that has an arm with a dextrous hand that can be used to automate biotechnology tasks -- the key is to make an easily programmable modular robotic system that includes a conveyer. Also I think it would be an interesting project to disassemble my old iPhone and see if we can design a robot that can put it back together -- ok maybe the iPhone is too ambitious but something else slightly complicated and build upwards from there.
My name is Johan, I have a background in computer science. I have an interest in robotics, but have never built one. I know basic electronics.
