Legal issues arise constantly in the world of entrepreneurs and technologists. Each month, join members of the HackerLab community as we address a different intersection of law, business, and technology.

Startups 101

This month, we will touch on the major legal issues that new founders should be focused on, including entity choice, formation, IP protection, and early funding concerns.

Class Structure

The class will begin with a 30-40 minute discussion of the chosen topic, followed by Q&A and open group discussion.

What will you get out of this class?

At the end of the class, students will have a better understanding the legal issues surrounding their current or next startup. Students will be able to prioritize their planning needs and legal services and will be better equipped to discuss and seek out those services.
