Founders Soup w/ Marie-Claire Andrews

  • June 21, 2012 · 5:30 PM
  • The Biz Dojo

Marie-Claire, CEO of ShowGizmo.com will be speaking about how "it takes all sorts" of founders in a startup, with a focus on non-tech founders.

As an added H&F bonus, we'll also be joined by Smolio founder Tyler Wanlass who will be sharing successes and failures from his two previous startups - founder conflict, premature scaling and serving over 2 terabytes of video a month and still staying sane! - and what he's doing different with his third go round.

At this event we'll be talking about all things startup, share some great ideas and strategies, and have some awesome Q&A. Don't miss it!

We'll be holding this meetup at the awesome BizDojo.

Thanks again, everyone for attending - I personally enjoyed the company too. Hopefully you all took away some useful immediate and future lessons from yesterday. We'll be putting up the slides here on meetup.com from the speakers soon when they become available.

Could the powerpoint of the presenters be made available subsequent to the Meetup?

One last point regarding Marie-Claire's presentation, I think that all team members (technical and non-technical) can encapsulate many of the skills, perspectives and values outlined (passion, value, relationship building, engagement, understanding, commitment.) I would also reinforce that non-technical people can offer incredible value and insights that are often unappreciated and undervalued - find a team that works for you and people who value your contribution.

Brilliant session with Marie-claire and so much useful information shared. I really appreciate the whole approach to team building and it resonates with me around the value each team member can bring, building strong (small) multidisciplinary teams with active relationships, the commitment required to succeed and reaching a shared common understanding. So much useful information, will the slides be available?
