Hallo zusammen,

Welcome everyone to the second #hhber this month! Hosted by Soundcloud this month, and we very excited to have with us Matt Andrews, from the Guardian.

Matt, a coder, has come over from the UK to speak to us about Surviving the multi-device news challenge with APIs: how we use linked data and open APIs to make it easy to build everywhere.

Please come and join the fun - the beer is has been kindly donated by Soundcloud!

*As always we are looking for kind venues, and interesting talks  - if you have any ideas don't be afraid to let us know.

kiss kiss,

Hi everybody – it was great to meet some of you last night and had some really interesting conversations. There's lots we can learn from Berlin for the London Hacks/Hackers branch!

I've posted an article version of my talk, including some relevant slides, here: http://mattandrews.info/talks/hackshackersberlin-2014/

If you want to see the Guardian's open-source responsive site, it's available at http://www.github.com/guardian/frontend and you can follow us for more info on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/gdndevelopers

I hope everyone had a good time – if there's anything you'd have liked to hear about that I didn't mention or anything I can improve on for next time, please drop me a line: [masked]

    thanks!
    matt

Hi, was a great meetup last night, thanks so much for organising it. It was my first time and I really enjoyed it. It would be interesting for me to have someone from "vice" come in and explain their relationship to the tech world. Just a suggestion. See you next time.

Hi folks, Thanks so much for joining us last night and giving your input into what you'd like to see more of over the coming year! I've now put together all the topics suggested for future meetups into a doc (sorry - Google spreadsheet - but just the easiest thing for stuff like this!). I've included your controversial statements from the spectogram in there too in inverted commas - think some of them would make awesome talks.... Even if you couldn't make it to this meetup: please feel free to add your thoughts and suggestions about things you'd like to see at future meetups - we'll do our best to please. http://bit.ly/hhber-suggestions

Until next time :) Lucy, Annabel and Sascha

    Any other confirmed talks?

    • Lucy C.

Hi Philipp, Annabel and I will also have a session on controversial topics in Tech and Journalism - we'll use it to find out more about what this community wants to see at future Hacks/Hackers, so we can find future speakers accordingly. And obviously, there will be beer! Hope to see you later :)
