Between the spring rain and the cheeky summer sun we would like to bring you another Hacks/Hackers speaker evening.
Our lovely hosts at Wikimedia will provide us beer and our lovely speakers will inspire us;
Faith Bosworth, a fabulous coordinator at Tactical Tech, who presented Google Nest (http://google-nest.org/) at Republica:14, a hoax that caused quite a stir. If you want to ask her more questions about the repercusions come along and ask.
Frederik Fischer, whose startup was actually born at Hacks/Hackers - will introduce the MIZ Innovation Grants - for projects at the intersection of journalism and technology. With grants for startups, media partners as well as individuals – no strings attached, a variety of audiences will be interested to hear what is on offer!
MC McGrath is a techie who has been leading the charge on a project for investigative reporters that makes it easier for them to scrape and visualize data.
Stefan Wehrmeyer and Moritz Klack will present a a fabulous project relevant to our local Berlin scenery. This sunday there's a referendum about the construction of buildings on the Tempelhofer airfield. A project from the Open Knowledge Labs Berlin got picked up by Berliner Morgenpost and turned into a 3D feature that explains the choice that Berliners have on Sunday.
See you all on Wednesday!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
