Hello hacks hackers of Hong Kong! After a three-month hiatus, you're invited to a new meetup on Wed Oct 8 at 8pm.
Slight change of plans. Due to that little protest happening, we're going to hold a more informal discussion about how the protest was covered and what tools and techniques we used to cover the event. It will be a great discussion!
There will be time for a discussion and also to network with other media professionals, programmers, designers, etc.!
Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.

Thomas de Lorimier is Head of Web production for LaPresse.ca, the website of Canada's French-language newspaper of record. Prior to taking these responsibilities, he was the paper's first social media editor in 2010. Aside from managing the Web team of reporters and editors, de Lorimier also leads a small data journalism team of 4 and participates actively in its day to day work. La Presse is now also known for being the first major newspaper in the world to have a full-feature iPad app that is the organization's flagship publication (instead of the Web or paper).
