Google's Fusion Tables allow you to make simple, web based data visualizations, including maps, charts and graphs. We'll do a quick tutorial on how to build various infographics and play around with some data.
You need ZERO knowledge of code to participate in this one. Just bring your laptop and any datasets you might want to use, and make sure you have a Google account.
Can't join us in person? We'll broadcast a Google Hangout here: http://youtu.be/4eLBSvu4vnc
I had inquired at the meetup about options for KML import to Illustrator. Here is one option and the steps I went through

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.

I'm using Fusion Tables for an upcoming project where we'll live update, and I found out that even though Fusion Tables are powered by Google spreadsheets, you need a bit more coding to update the map easily.
