Your first data project

Come join us at Philly.com for the year's second Hacks/Hackers Philadelphia. We're bringing together technologists and journalists to share techniques, ideas, and food. Thanks to Philly.com for donating pizza and beer to the cause.

Annabel Church, organizer of Hacks/Hackers Berlin and former Knight-Mozilla OpenNews fellow, will be giving a 45 minute talk on getting into data journalism and interactive storytelling starting at 7pm.

We will also have a few short flash talks from folks who are going to NICAR in Atlanta – our focus is on actionable first steps for journalists.

• John Duchneskie (Asst. Managing Editor for Design & Graphics at the Philadelphia Inquirer)

John Campbell

Plan to hang before or after the talks to meet your fellow Hacks/Hackers.

I liked it. I was surprised how important getting and presenting the data is to journalists. I just thought they did what Democrats do, make it up.

Hi Michelle, there's a lot nearby on 8th street, just south of Market. Glad you can make it!
