More exciting news about our RSVP system: part 94

We're still tweaking the RSVP and ticketing system. We've had positive feedback about releasing places in batches, so we're going to keep that bit. We're starting with 100 places now, and will release the rest later this week and next week.

As always, if you get a place but later cannot come (or change your mind) then please, pretty please change your RSVP.

Additional sign-up form for your real name

We noticed there was some confusion about the difference between Meetup.com RSVP and the Mailchimp sign-up.

TL;DR: You need to be in BOTH lists to be guaranteed a place.

Here's the additional form for your name and company details: http://eepurl.com/bdMeHz

The reason for the Mailchimp sign-up form is that we need your real name and your company name in order to get you into the building. This was a requirement last month at BBC, and it's an ongoing requirement for Twitter.

Many of you don't use your real name on Meetup (what groups have you joined, hmmm?!) so we need a second list for everyone to fill in.

In other words, you need to be on both lists. You need to RSVP here in Meetup.com, and fill in your details on the Mailchimp form as a secondary step.

Meetup.com is still the main list – if you're not RSVP'd in Meetup.com then you're not on the list. I hope this makes sense, but if not, please let me know.

Oh no, I'm too far down the waiting list!

Never fear. You can still buy your way onto the RSVP list by purchasing a limited edition "queue-jumper" paid pass.

Hope to see you next week at Twitter.
