Hacks/Hackers Ottawa meetup

Momoko Price, communications director at BuzzData

A former editor at the Toronto Star, Momoko joined BuzzData with the belief that data literacy is a key step in making the world a better (and far more interesting) place. She is a co-organizer of the Toronto chapter of Hacks Hackers, as well as the workshop organizer for BuzzData's hands-on data journalism workshops (also in Toronto).

Robert Giggey, Open Data Lead at the City of Ottawa

Rob is the lead of implementing the City of Ottawa's open data policy, passed in April 2010.

Amanda Shendruk, owner of Aesthetic Intelligence

Amanda is a journalist, information designer and student living in Ottawa (but proudly from Saskatchewan!). She has experience in many aspects of the media, having served as a page designer and copy editor for the Ottawa Citizen, as well as editor-in-chief of the University of Ottawa's student newspaper, the Fulcrum. A recent recipient of a youth business venture grant from the city of Ottawa, Amanda owns Aesthetic Intelligence, a company dedicated to creating compelling visualizations by combining design and data.
