Data and demos

Details

Please join us at Philly.com to chat about data projects and learn from a few demos related to data, technology, and journalism.

We have some great speakers lined up, so bring your questions and ideas for:

Wendy Warren, editor, Philly.com
Rose Ciotta, senior editor for digital/print projects, Inquirer
Rob Kandel, assistant multimedia projects editor, Inquirer
Dylan Purcell, computer-assisted reporting reporter, Inquirer
Bob Vetrone, Jr., sports stats blogger (http://philly.com/boopstats), Daily News

In addition, we'll have some demos including:

Casey Thomas presenting lobbying.ph (http://lobbying.ph/), the winning hack from last weekend's Code for America hackathon

Faye Anderson presenting Cost of Freedom (http://www.facebook.com/costoffreedom?sk=info), developed at Random Hacks of Kindness in December

Jake Richter presenting WhoPaid (http://whopaidapp.org/), also developed at RHoK.

You will have to sign in at the front desk when you enter the building. The meetup will be on the first floor conference room - just follow the signs.

Free food and drink! Thank you to Philly.com for hosting.
