It's fall -- let's commiserate!

It has been an entire summer since we last met to drink and debate the future of news. Alas, it is time to embark on this enterprise again!

Let us meet on October 22 at 6PM to pour a stream of tears into our empty pint glasses as a symbolic prelude to what is about to befall our dear Vancouver.

And, given that this gathering will be just a few short days after our fair country's national election, you could perhaps use this occasion to pour tears into your empty pint glass for other reasons. We are not here to judge, only to provide the opportunity for catharsis!

We will have no formal agenda for this gathering, but I'm sure there will be lots to discuss and unpack amongst friends and colleagues, old an new.

If you do have an announcement you would like to make, or a very brief presentation to bestow on us (3-minutes or less, please!), do drop us a line before October 21st and we'll make a list.

We very much hope you will join us on October 22nd.
