It works like this.

For the "Intense" Hackternooners we offer Hackternoon.com Use it to describe a project you want to "seriously" get done. If you have a project on Hackternoon.com it helps us/you steer clear of Hackternooners who might waste your time. So, we try to pair you with someone with similar goals and style. If you are hand-waver or talker, we will pair you with someone like that. If you don't bring a laptop, we will pair you with a laptop-less person; you could then talk business ideas or do UI design on a pad of paper. If you don't bring a laptop and you try to "chat-up" people who are trying to write code on their laptop, that is considered impolite by some Hackternooners. If you want to do Test Driven Development (TDD) on your laptop with a coding partner we will try to find you a coding partner. If you want to learn something like Android, or JavaScript, or Python, we will try to pair you with someone who either wants to teach that or learn that. Sometimes we cannot find you a perfect Hackternooner-Partner but if you keep coming back you will make some great contacts. Also we have different levels of participation. Some Hackternooners are intensely focused on completing a set of goals in a short amount of time (a Hackternoon!). If you are intense, we suggest you list your project on hackternoon.com to signal your intensity. Other Hackternooners are less intense and perhaps more social and talkative. That's okay. One last thing, when you arrive, we ask that you sign-in at kiosk provided near the front door. This helps keep the venue owners happy (Ground Floor, and Hacker Dojo). E-Me if you have questions.
