Abstract:Apache Spark is a fast and general purpose engine for both large-scale data and stream processing. Mix built-in machine learning with Couchbase Server and you have a swiss army knife for real time data analytics. In this session you will learn about Apache Spark and how it fits into the Couchbase ecosystem. You will learn how to leverage core Spark components as well as higher lever integrations like Spark SQL and Spark streaming.

Speaker info:David is a creative Software Engineer and skilled Consultant with experience in software project management, for both product development and customer projects. Furthermore he has a solid database background by being specialized on NoSQL Database Systems. He started his career years ago as a Developer a the database company, Ingres. He continued to work for Ingres as a Software Engineer by being responsible for technical partner certification projects and migration tooling. He left Ingres as a Senior Software Engineer in order to join the small Graph Database startup sones. David is currently working as a Principal Solutions Engineer for Couchbase, the company behind the Open Source NoSQL Database System, Couchbase Server.
