The BeatBrigade is an interactive drumming group operating through HandReach, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the poorest children in the developing world overcome severe debilitating trauma injuries. The BeatBrigade engages in therapeutic drumming that promotes community and benefits survivors of burn and trauma injuries. Outstanding BeatBrigadiers are invited to tour locally and abroad to drum with people of all kinds!

** Everyone is welcome to join and participate in the BeatBrigade

** Little or no drumming skill is required prior to joining -- professional music facilitators weekly teach BeatBrigadiers basic as well as advanced drum technique.

** Along with drumming together, trauma experts regularly give presentations at drum rehearsals to improve the team's clinical skills for working with trauma survivors.

** The BeatBrigade uses hand drums and a wide variety of percussion instruments, occasionally with string or wind instruments thrown in for fun!

** The BeatBrigade relies on every BeatBrigadier to operate effectively together. There's a certain charm in numbers, and the power to advance is in everyone's hands.
