Managing your personal brand is how you make it happen. The idea of personal branding isn't new, but the role it plays in our businesses, careers and life in general certainly is. With the rise of social networks and online communities, your personal brand extends well beyond your behavior at the company party.

About the Presenter:
Laura's entire career has focused on building valuable brands - from IBM, to Intel, and HP, she has worked with some of the biggest brands on the planet. In 2005, she left corporate America to apply her expertise in branding and marketing working with high tech start-ups. As the founder of the boutique marketing consultancy Impact Marketing Group, clients ranged from start-up powerhouses to total unknowns.
Her first book,
42 Rules of Marketing addressed the questions she got from entrepreneurs about marketing in general. Her second book,
42 Rules for Working Moms, was a personal response to her quest for balance; and it hit a chord with working women everywhere and was featured on Oprah & Friends Radio, The Peter Walsh Show.
With her latest book,
#My Brand Tweet, Laura has tapped into the power of social media using a Twitteresque format as her platform. The book applies her expertise towards helping individuals build a personal brand that helps them build the life that they want. She has done it, and now she is showing others how to do the same.
