Mikael be starting off the evening with a talk on what makes Haskell so interesting, some of the cool stuff you can do with it and why you should be excited too.

Following that, we'll try to get some lightning talks, whereafter Mike Burns will show us a real-world application and tell us about how it was to create it in Haskell, pros and cons.

Good suggestion, I'll keep that in mind for future events.

Verry mixed levels. The first talk was very basic and the second talk was more advanced but still adjusted for beginners which kind of made it not suited for either beginners or more advanced users. It would probably be better to design and perform the talks with only one target group in mind.

    Hey again fellow Haskellites!

First of all, I'm really thrilled about there being so many interested in this meetup! So many, in fact, that we're going to have to put a cap on how many can attend.

Apologies to those that might not be able to fit at the first event, we'll try to find a bigger venue for the second meetup.

    See you in two weeks!

Hey guys, there's been a slight change of plans.

Since this meetup group hasn't cleared community review (not searchable, among other things), and that some other groups are only now hearing about this meetup, I've decided to reschedule our first meetup for December 3rd.

I think this will give more people the opportunity to hear about the meetup, which would make for a more interesting first event.

Although not many have RSVP'd at the moment, to those who have, sorry if this messes up your plans or something like that; I should have anticipated this.
