Leslie Heye (http://www.cycletechnologies.com/team/leslie-heyer/)r, Founder & President of Cycle Technologies (http://www.cycletechnologies.com/). Her presentation will is: From Smartphones to Smart Birth Control: Can Mobile Technology Provide Effective Family Planning Solutions?

Cycle Technologies is a socially minded company focused on reproductive health. Since 2002, the company has worked with researchers and health partners to bring to market sustainable family planning technologies globally.

Leslie received her MBA from Harvard Business School and was named a 2015 Top 50 Most Talented Social Innovator.

Dr. Huy Nguyen, MD, Executive Chairman of Care 24/7 (http://care-24-7.com/) headquartered in Knoxville, TN, and expert consultant (http://www.a-match.eu/newsreader/huy-nguyen-joins-a-match-as-partner.html)on cross-border business development and strategies for A-Team (http://www.a-match.eu/index.php) based in Munich, Germany. Dr. Nguyen will present on Value-Based Care for the Chronically Ill.

Dr. Nguyen, will discuss how the health system is evolving towards "value-based care" - focusing on provider efficiency and proactive patient outreach - to improve health outcomes and control costs for the most vulnerable patients, the chronically ill.

Dr. Berit Johne, DDS, PhD, Counselor for Science at the Royal Norwegian Embassy (http://www.norway.org/) in Washington DC. Until recently she was Special Adviser for international cooperation for U.S. and Canada in the Research Council of Norway. Her scientific experience includes basic biomedical research; technology transfer, biotech start up; Health Technology Assessment, human biobanks program coordinator, and manager of a national foresight “Biotech Norway 2020”. Dr. Johne will present on US-Norway Cooperation in Medical Technology: Public and Private Funding, Financing & Market Opportunities

Transatlantic cooperation in biomedical and health science is substantial. Startups are looking to the US innovation hot spots. How do we facilitate and create opportunities – on both sides? Can we develop Transatlantic innovation ecosystems and clusters? What does a best case example look like?
