Touch Surgery, London's DHI, China, AAR & the NIB on 13th October

Details
We have an exciting and very varied programme for the last 'proper' meetup of 2015 for you. Our first presentation will be from Touch Surgery. The company began with a truly revolutionary technique for training surgeons that may have applications elsewhere. However it is now moving in to other digital health areas at astonishing speed - much is under wraps just now though may well be revealed when Ali Bahsoun, Research Lead, presents.
Then we have Julie Bretland, CEO of OurMobileHealth, who will be describing plans for London's own Digital Health Institute which she is project managing. The purpose of the DHI will be to encourage faster take-up of digital health in London, and therefore also to promote exports. At the time of the presentation, there will be much still to be finalised (possibly including its name), so your views will be eagerly sought by Julie in this interactive session.
Thirdly, Mingxing Hu, Director of Medical Technology (UCL/China), Faculty of Engineering at University College London will give a talk on digital health collaboration with China - this is a really important export opportunity for even small SMEs in the UK so an area we all need to learn more about.
Finally, if there is time, I will give a brief summary of the many innovation activities taking place in the NHS just now, most notably the National Information Board (NIB) where I am on three of the workstream Advisory Boards. The NIB, and the related Accelerated Access Review (AAR - I'm also involved in that), are driving huge change in the NHS, opening up opportunities for companies large and small to participate in the way health & care are delivered, so these are activities all HTF members need to be aware of.
In summary therefore some really important information that will likely impact favourably on your organisations' bottom lines...if you attend!
