Mindfulness Meditation Hike (Franklin Canyon)

February is Heart Health month, and mindfulness meditation is a quick and easy way to calm down the stress hormone (cortisol) and lower your blood pressure to improve your heart health. We'll meet at Franklin Canyon Sooky Goldman Nature Center parking lot picnic tables. There are restrooms here. Please bring your own water bottle. Easy walking meditation hike, but you are welcome to do your own cardio hike on other trails after our meetup.

(click on link to learn more how nature helps your heart!). There will also be a 5-minute Q&A for weight loss and nutrition faqs for those who are interested.
Logistics: This is a beautiful green mountain escape from the city. Please plan to come a little early so we can start on time at 3:00pm and be careful use a map resource to help you get to Franklin Canyon--coming from the Valley can be a little tricky from Mulholland/Coldwater. Please pay attn to all the STOP signs and speed limits, because you can get a ticket from cameras. Follow the signs to the Lake and look for the Nature Center Parking Lot and then find us at the picnic tables.
