Building Mobile Web Components Using the Principle of Composition

Details
Come learn what it looks like to build mobile web applications using open-web technologies, presented by Dave Mosher, Front-End Engineer.
Experience some of the challenges when building a mobile application for the web, as well as some tools and a workflow that can make it easy. We will talk about building your own interface widgets using the principle of composition instead of inheritance, and look at some simple examples of common mobile interface components created with Twitter Bootstrap and Backbone.js
Dave Mosher is a Front-End Engineer who has been designing and building web applications since using HTML tables for layout started to go out of style. A background in classical design and computer systems technology has enabled him to roam between the worlds of design and development. Dave hails from Saskatoon, but has worked with both local and international clients for the last 3 years. He is currently writing mobile rich-client web applications using Ruby on Rails, Backbone.JS, CoffeeScript, and Lineman.
